NEPA-PRO started in 1987 in a Scranton garage with one truck, one phone line, and a stubborn belief: people in this part of Pennsylvania deserve a contractor who actually shows up. Almost four decades later, that belief is still the entire company strategy.
We've watched a lot of competitors come and go — the "we do everything" outfits that disappear at the first real emergency, the smooth-talking flippers chasing the latest service-of-the-month, the franchises with rotating crews who don't know your name. We've been here through six recessions, two pandemics, and at least 38 winters. We're still answering the phone.
What changed? The technology, the trucks, the tools, the size of the team. What didn't change: a Northeast Pennsylvania crew, doing Northeast Pennsylvania work, for Northeast Pennsylvania families. Our crew still lives off Route 6. Most of our techs grew up within twenty miles of where they work. When you call us at 2am because the basement is flooding, the person who shows up isn't a stranger from a call center — it's somebody whose kid goes to school with yours.
That's it. That's the whole story. We do good work, we treat people right, we pick up the phone, and we've been doing it since Reagan was president.
